Terms of service.
Last updated
These terms govern your use of the Dragons website, the open-source Dragons control plane, and any commercial Dragons offering you subscribe to. By using any of these, you agree to the sections below. This is a pre-launch stub: the commercial agreement that accompanies a paid subscription will supersede these terms for that subscription, and the open-source license governs the source code regardless.
We have kept this short and readable. Where a paid plan needs more — a signed order form, a data-processing addendum, a service-level commitment — those documents extend, but do not silently override, what is stated here.
Acceptable use
Dragons is infrastructure for governing autonomous agents. You may run it, integrate it, and operate it against your own agents and tenants. You may not use it to govern, conceal, or launder activity that is itself unlawful, nor to evade the very accountability the product exists to provide.
Specifically, do not: attack, probe, or attempt to break the isolation of tenants you do not control; forge, replay, or tamper with leases, receipts, or evidence chains belonging to others; resell access in violation of your plan; or use the product to operate agents whose underlying purpose is illegal in your jurisdiction. Abuse of the marketing site — scraping at a rate that degrades it, attempting to exploit it — is likewise out of bounds.
Open-core license model
Dragons is open-core. The boundary between what is free-forever and what is commercial is explicit, and we do not move the line retroactively on code already released as open.
Open tier
The core control plane — identity, leases, the WorkLedger, heartbeat and organism-state lifecycle — is the open core, free to self-host. You may run it, modify it, and operate it on your own infrastructure free of charge. Final license terms are being finalized ahead of general availability; your obligations are the obligations stated in the applicable license and nothing more.
Pro & Enterprise
Managed deployments, extended capabilities, support commitments, and enterprise controls are offered under a commercial license as part of a paid plan. These are governed by the order form and commercial agreement you sign, which take precedence over this stub for the subscribed offering. The commercial tier may depend on the open core; the open core never depends on the commercial tier.
Open packages stay open. A capability shipped as part of the open core does not get clawed back into the commercial tier in a later version — new commercial capability is additive, not a re-licensing of what you already received.
Warranty & liability disclaimer
The open-core software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, as stated in the applicable license, published before general availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and the MOGOS Collective are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.
Dragons produces governance signals, leases, and evidence to help you operate autonomous agents responsibly — but you remain responsible for the agents you run and the consequences of their work. The control plane proves what happened; it does not assume liability for what your agents do. Commercial plans may carry their own warranty and indemnity terms; where they do, those terms govern that plan.
Changes & governing terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are dated at the top of this page and, for active commercial relationships, communicated directly rather than buried in a silent revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. The governing law and venue for a paid plan are set in its commercial agreement; absent that, these terms are construed under the law applicable to the MOGOS Collective's place of business.
